Will I get asked to collect my child early, in the event of challenging behaviour?
No, this is most unlikely. This is what nearly all other schools will do if a child has a behavioural outburst, because they are not set up to be able to cope with it.
But at Maypole we are organised and staffed so that we can manage the challenging behaviour, calm the situation down, continue the nurturing process, and the school day will continue.
"The development of pupils as individuals is exceptional .... (and) the support for pupils' behaviour is excellent."
Ofsted Report, Maypole School (Leigham Court), June 2024
"One standout aspect of this new school is the support pupils receive on their journey to become confident and responsible members of society. For many pupils, this is a bigger challenge than academic achievement. Parents who talked to inspectors were particularly positive about how the school is transformational on peoples lives in this respect."
